Breakaway-Autobiographical

‎\0/ ♪ ♪ ♫ ♫ ♪ ♪ \0/
The Lord is my strength and my song,
and He has become my salvation; this is my God, and I will praise Him...Ex15:2

10 Things that make me...ME:
1 -Music, worship especially, energizes me. It IS spiritual food.
2 -I grew up in the country, small town and helped my grandpa on his farm. Pigs, huntin dogs, peanuts, potatoes, corn okra.
3 -I prefer big cities, metropolitan places with lots to do and people overflowin. Myrtle Beach has some of that while still "feeling" like a small town.
4 -I am a Diabetes Overcomer, thanx to the accountability of many medical friends!
5 -I am learning Arabic very slowly for potential relationships in Paris. Slowly I emphasize.
6 -I can skin and dress (prepare carcass) any animal you hunt except deer. But I don't like to. Thanx dad.
7 -I am a fraternal, non-identical twin. We're opposites and don't look alike.
8 -The misuse of Me and I is a Dragon Peeve, not a pet peeve. If you would say "me" alone then you must also say "me" in combo...even if "I" sounds smarter. That really bothers...ME. : )
9 -I am a Godfather x1, an uncle x1 and a bl'uncle many times over! My happiest titles will be Husband&Father someday.
10-Pop music is my guilty pleasure. Big voices or catchy tunes that can be covered with extra soul. Christina & J-Hud. So I like the music on GLEE but not the not-so-hidden-agendas. And Idol when they have good singers like Clarkson, Hudson, Fantasia, Gokey and Archuleta. This season one contestant gave such a wimpy rendition of "Breakway" by Clarkson I had to go dig mine up to compare. How can you NOT sing this song with UMPFFF? I mean if you've ever "longed for what could be" then surely you can feel it in this song!

I spoke to a small group that was full to the brim with kids and friendship and family. One member announced they would move soon. It brought tears to my eyes as the group celebrated and grieved all at once. And it brought home the reality that in a few months I will do the same. Not only Breakaway from my small town roots but from my Myrtle
Beach and Church Family. That surgery will be one of the most painful griefs of my life. Preparing my heart in advance.

"March"-ing Forward

"I remain confident in this: I will see the goodness of the LORD in the land of the living." Psalm 27:13

These past weeks have been all about relationships.
First I attended 2 sweet weddings! So sweet and powerful it made me think that's EXACTLY why Jesus' 1st Miracle occurred at a wedding! Faithfulness and excess of Love!
The 2nd wedding took place at Trinity UMC where I became a member after I 1st moved to Horry County in 1994-1995
See Photo below:

I sang my 1st solo "There Is A Savior" in the choir loft below this very window!
All month God has been sending me messages about my health. The pic of Brayden and me is at a Diabetes Fundraiser where I was invited to set up a Missions booth with another Missionary. My new doctor became my new doctor yesterday BECAUSE she tested my blood glucose level earlier at that event and insisted I come see her. That same nite at the birthday party I got another dose of nudging when unbeknown-st to me I sit across from Jeremy's mom who is a Nutritionist and specifically had advice about supplements and diet for me.
Holding Brayden Page while he sleeps Sunday afternoon.

Today I allowed a friend to give me a crash course in diabetes management in a hospital cafeteria.
I found out I was diabetic in the same hospital in the summer of 2009 but have not seen a doctor since...until yesterday. The lady seated next to us, enjoying her lunch break, was the Diabetes Educator...who remembered my name as a referral from 2009 who never showed up, lol! Needless to say we rescheduled and I will show up this time, lol! I keep saying God will care for the sparrows, the lilies, and me...but He expects me to submit to care and to treatment. So I am. And I have seen His goodness in the land of the living! I feel better already. Now I can start running again!

I will be sharing at Surfside Presbyterian this Sunday morning. Please pray for anointing and for fruit!
The Beaux Arts-Silent Auction is coming up March 19th 4:00-8:00 at Abiding Village.
Food, music by me and other musicians, art and fun!

The most exciting news is God keeps adding monthly partners to our team every week! On my trip home both my mom and dad yielded to sponsoring this Church Plant on a monthly basis! I was so happy I cried, both times! (They are together: I just saw them at different times/places that day!) Mom has consistently tried to convince me it is God's will for me to stay or to move back to my Hometown. This is a huge step for her, accepting that her firstborn will be thousands of miles away but RIGHT where God WANTS him!

The video is from an OUTREACH that my men's group (Seacoast Men since Jan 2005) facilitates at Conway Manor on 701 in Conway, every 2nd Tuesday at 7:00 pm. I usually arrive a little early (6:30ish) and set up, then lead worship until 7:00.
Today's video is especially for Annorah..my littlest fan!!! Love you mon amie!!!

Enjoy the video. It and all the other Modern Psalm Videos I have covered can be found at my YouTube Channel:

Home Sweet Home

Ephesians 4:1-6 As a prisoner for the Lord then I urge you to live a life worthy of the calling you have received. Be completely humble & gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in Love. Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace. There is One Body and One Spirit, just as you were called to One Hope...; One Lord, One Faith, One BaptismOne God and Father of all, who is over All and through All and in All.
February flew by furiously and fast.I had 5 meetings in one day last Wednesday the 23rd! Oh but how I saw God work. I was allowed to lead at least one song at all of the large group presentations this month; each time God poured out a special anointing to quiet my soul and to help me share by the power of His Spirit.
I could see and feel Him working Actively to accomplish His purposes in the hearts of His people. One presentation was just a few miles from the home where I grew up so afterwards I chilled a bit with my dad, then caught up with my mom and sister-in-law in town for lunch.
My parents independently both decided they should support this Mission financially. I cried. They have been so opposed to me moving that it shocked me that they are willing to help me move thousands of miles away. But mom said "I know you're doing what God called you to do!"
I connected with my best friend from High School, James West after lunch in Lancaster. He and his friend Cecil really might open the door for sharing with a network of churches in my hometown now that they see that I am not seeking money from Church Budgets, just Individual Monthly Partners! A new friend and new opportunities!!!
I also shared at my first African American Church 2 weeks ago. It was Black History Program and Youth Sunday. The best moment I've ever had as a  Worship Leader was the Youth Choir joining me on the choruses of the special song "I am!!!" My tiny cup was overflowing with the Spirit and with JOY as we all worshiped in unity!
Getting to share with so many different groups and churches allows me to see how much God is working ACTIVELY in other churches and hearts all over the state. It makes me strive even more to live as one with other believers who truly follow Jesus and fulfill the Great Commandment and the Great Commission!
Financial Report= 45%!!! Almost halfway and the best is surely yet to come!!! How can you help? Pray.
